A successful Lowes Toolbox for Education Grant application will require some advance work by you and your parent group. Follow the 3 Key Steps below to ensure that you have all the information you need before filing your online grant application. |

- Print out and review the Pre-Application Checklist.
Download the PDF here.
Having trouble? Get the current version of Adobe Acrobat here.
- Decide on a project that you’d like help funding. Visit the Sample Projects tab for ideas.
- Using the Pre-Application Checklist as a guide, create a new Word document with your group's application data. When you are ready to complete the application online, copy and paste your data into the appropriate fields. We highly recommend you take this step to allow for easy editing and to avoid being "timed out" of the online application on your computer.
**Please note** We will not have a saved copy of your application. Creating your application in a Word document will allow you to save your application data. Also, please take into consideration that character count includes punctuation and spacing.
- Click on the Apply Now button to complete your application online.
(Only click Apply Now after you have completed the Pre-Application Checklist.)
| The Spring 2008 cycle is now closed. For those that applied, you can expect to be contacted between late April and mid May regarding the status of your application. You will be contacted via the email address used to submit your application. |

- Pick a project that meets your schools needs and gels with your parent groups mission. Your project must be completed within one year of when the grant is received.
- Choose an application deadline that gives your group a reasonable amount of time to prepare your application.
- Using the Pre-Application Checklist as a guide, create a new Word document with your group's application data. When you are ready to submit the application, copy and paste your data into the online form.
- Assign a main contact person, with contact information good for one year, for the project. If your group receives a grant, post-grant success reporting will be required.
- Provide as many details as possible. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
